Pre-Production Elements



Identify your audience
Determine what you are trying to tell
- Story needs to be interesting and creative
- Needs to have a clear objective
Come up with a proposal/treatment
- Come up with a storyboard including a beginning, middle and end (Equilibream)
- Mood/Genre examples comedy, horror
- How will the acting convey the feeling
Mood board
- Mise-en-scene/props/settings/style
- Narrative structure, linear/non-linear
- Shot list what camera shots are going to be used
- Camera angles
- Location list (find places other than school to shoot it)
- Shooting schedule
- Equipments/sound/lighting required
- May need to do a risk assessment (the risks of shooting where you did)
- Budget what are the costs
- Time line (start date and end date)
- NEED TO WRITE DOWN WHAT WE DID EACH LESSON
